WHY BIOLOGY STUDY IS IMPORTANT FOR ENGINEERING?

Till now, there was a myth among people that biology is studied by medical students only to crack Neet and other medical exams. But the fact is  biology is also important subject for engineering students.

WHY DOES AN ENGINEER NEED ANY KNOWLEDGE OF BIOLOGY?

  • Due to nature of Engineering problem solving requires the knowledge of structures and functions to create artificial ones in a Biology related project or job.

  • With the the upcoming focus in the future on nanotechnology bioelectronics and smart electronic systems an underlying understanding of Biology will be fundamental to the development of these new systems for all engineering majors.

  • For example-

  1. In signal processing, there are emulation of neural networks.
  2. In ultrasound imaging, MRI imaging etc.
  3. Aspects of human vision are used in coloured science, image processing and video coding.
  4. Engineering is involved in DNA sequencing and other gene related analysis and processing.
  • PARTNERSHIP  BETWEEN BIOLOGY AND TECHNOLOGY

Because Technology provides the tool and Biology the problems the two enjoy a good relationship with each other. The main relationship between biology and Technology involves how Biology is relevant on technology in terms of using devices and the invention of new equipment can be used in biological research

Technology develops more advanced instrument. These instruments can be used by biologist who will be able to observe and experiment using the equipment and make new discoveries .

THEREFORE AS TECHNOLOGY ADVANCES, SO DOES BIOLOGY.
